

TZVI'S CARAMEL APPLES HOMESTYLE
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 tbs. butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
6 tbs. water
round or popsicle sticks
8 to 10 apples (McIntosh - preferably)
DIRECTIONS:
A. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
B. Add the brown sugar and water.
C. Stir until it has a smooth consistency.
D. Gently bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 3 minutes, until the
pan's sides get steamy
and the mixture is thin but somewhat sticky.
E. Remove from heat.
F. Pierce the center of each apple with a Popsicle stick,
then swirl in the caramel syrup until coated.
G. Place apples on a greased cookie sheet to harden.
H. Refrigerate for at least 1 to 2 hours.
YIELDS: 8 -10 servings.
YEHOSHUA'S CARAMEL APPLES
6 apples
1 (14 oz.) package of caramels / unwrap "KOSHER"
2 tbs. milk
Directions
A. Remove the stem from each apple and press a round or popsicle stick into
the top.
B. Grease a baking sheet.
C. Place caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl and microwave about
2 minutes, stirring once.
D. Allow to cool briefly.
E. Roll each apple quickly in caramel sauce until well coated.
F. Place on wax paper or baking sheet to set.
